What are your working hours?

Our working hours are Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on Fridays. For AMC clients, emergency callouts are available outside these hours.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

Yes. All our work comes with a workmanship warranty — typically 1–2 years for most services, up to 5 years for structural and civil works. Specific warranty terms are included in your written quotation before work begins.

Can you supply materials and spare parts, or just provide labour?

We offer both. We can supply all required materials, equipment, and spare parts through our supplier network, or work with materials you provide. For most projects we recommend a supply-and-install package for quality assurance and warranty coverage.

What is an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)?

An AMC is a yearly maintenance agreement where SHQ takes responsibility for the regular upkeep of your property's systems. It typically covers scheduled preventive maintenance visits, priority emergency response, discounted rates on parts and repairs, and a dedicated technician familiar with your property.

What does an AMC typically include?

Our standard AMC includes: 4–12 scheduled maintenance visits per year, AC filter cleaning and servicing, electrical panel inspection, plumbing checks and leak inspection, emergency callout coverage, and a detailed service report after each visit. Custom packages are available.

How much does an AMC cost?

AMC pricing depends on property size, number of units or systems, scope of works, and visit frequency. We offer competitive rates starting from AED 2,500/year for standard apartments. Contact us for a free site assessment and custom quote.

Can I get an AMC for just one specific system (e.g., AC only)?

Yes — we offer specialised AMCs for individual systems such as AC only, electrical only, or plumbing only. However, our all-inclusive property AMC packages offer the best value and most comprehensive coverage.

What happens if a covered system breaks down during my AMC period?

Accepted Answer

AMC clients receive priority dispatch — we aim to respond the same day for breakdowns. Labour for repairs on covered systems is included. Parts and materials may be billed separately depending on your contract tier (Standard, Silver, Gold, or Platinum).

Initial site inspections and quotations are completely free of charge. Our engineer will visit, assess the work needed, and provide a detailed written quote — with no obligation to proceed.

How long does it take to receive a quote after the site visit?

For standard works, we provide a detailed written quotation within 24 hours of the site visit. For large or complex projects, a BOQ (Bill of Quantities) may take 2–3 business days.

We accept bank transfer (UAE local banks), cheque, and cash. For AMC contracts, post-dated cheques or quarterly bank transfer are standard. Credit/debit card payments are available on request.

How often should I service my AC in the UAE?

Due to the UAE's extreme heat and heavy dust, we recommend a full AC service every 3–4 months, and a deep clean at the start and end of summer (April and October). Neglecting AC maintenance in UAE conditions accelerates compressor wear and increases electricity bills significantly.

We service and install all major brands including Daikin, Carrier, Trane, Midea, LG, Samsung, Gree, Hitachi, York, Mitsubishi, and all others. We stock parts for the most common brands and can source others within 24–48 hours.

Question 23

My AC is cooling but producing a bad smell — what causes this?

Accepted Answer

A musty smell is usually caused by mould or bacteria growth on the evaporator coil or inside the drain pan — very common in the UAE's humidity. A deep clean and disinfection service resolves this. We recommend an anti-bacterial coil treatment as part of your service.

Can you install ducted central AC systems in villas?

Yes — we design, supply, and install all types of ducted systems including split ducted, VRF/VRV systems, FCU with AHU, and chiller-based systems. We handle the full project from duct design to final commissioning.

Do you fix roof leaks and waterproofing?

Yes — roof leak detection and waterproofing is a core part of our plumbing scope. We use approved systems including Sika, Mapei, and Fosroc waterproofing membranes. All waterproofing work comes with a minimum 2-year warranty.

Can you install a water filtration system in my villa?

Absolutely — we supply and install whole-house filtration systems, under-sink reverse osmosis (RO) units, and commercial-grade water treatment systems. We also provide filter replacement AMC plans.

Common signs include unexplained increases in your water bill, damp patches on walls or ceilings, mould growth, or the sound of running water when all taps are off. We use acoustic leak detection and thermal imaging to locate hidden leaks without unnecessary damage.
